Super Foods to Include in Your Baby’s Diet

November 24, 2009

As our children grow it is important that they get as many essential vitamins in their diet as possible.  Many parents turn to flavored chewable vitamins, but there is an alternative.  Simply adding more organic foods that have a higher nutritional value is the safest and healthiest choice.  Foods such as:

  • Blueberries are high in fiber, Vitamin C and are the best source for antioxidants which help prevent free-radicals.
  • Avocados have more than 25 essential nutrients such as potassium, Vitamin B, Vitamin C and folic acid.
  • Chicken & beef provide protein which helps to build iron levels.
  • Green foods are generally a good source for vitamins but broccoli in specific is the ultimate vegetable.  Broccoli is the best source for calcium and Vitamin C.
  • Orange foods, especially those with a bright color indicate a large nutritional benefit.  Carrots in specific are high in Vitamin A which promote healthy vision.
