I have also heard that bamboo is not an eco-friendly fabric at this time because of the energy required to turn the plant into a wearable fabric.

I import <a href="http://www.babiesaregifts.com/eco-baby.html" baby sleep sack products</a> from Australia made of organic bamboo and, according to their research, bamboo helps baby to sleep at an optimum temperature - cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Wouldn't this make is a nice option?

I agree with Melissa. I have not found any bamboo products to sell on my website because of the chemicals used in the processing. I have researching this for over two years. On the plus side, manufacturers are taking notice and things are improving. But, as of not, I only offer certified (GOTS) organic cotton.

That's very interesting about bamboo. Thanks for the input. I also wonder about the toxicity the previous comment is referring to....
If the process is toxic, then they wouldn't be able to call it Organic, right?

on the surface this is correct. however, the process to turn bamboo into the amazingly soft fabric that you see in stores can be extremely toxic.
