Kicky Pants Bamboo Baby Dresses

Launched by a mom while on bedrest with her second son, Kicky Pants has created some of the cutest little bamboo dresses we’ve seen. This eco-friendly bamboo baby dress looks simply adorable and wears even better due to the natural water wicking and anti static properties of bamboo. Gathered in front for twirling like a princess, we love them with jeans or leggings in the cooler months. Shop online at www.kickypants.com or view their directory of USA and Canadian stores.

Sorry but you’re wrong about bamboo fabric being green. Although bamboo hard goods, ie flooring, salad bowls, etc. might be considered a sustainble choice, though this is arguable since ancient Asian forests are being clearcut to make way for bamboo ‘farms’ because of growing demand in the West, bamboo fabric is never a green choice at all. Unlike organic cotton, which is always an environmental benefit, the process of turning bamboo plants into the silky yarn that feels so soft is very similar to rayon (which is considered synthetic even though it comes from wood pulp). This is because the process of breaking down the fiber is highly chemically intensive. It’s dangerous to plant workers and horrible to surrounding environments. Sorry, bamboo fabric is not a green choice at all.

Organic cotton is never finished with any chemical agents from farm to yarn. it’s treated mechanically and with water only.

Best
