My mom always made me a basket of goodies every year for Valentines to make me feel loved, and to this day she still does it.

Sue Farrell February 15, 2009 at 9:38 am

My perfect Valentines Day would be just the whole day to spend with my husband — no one else around and no interuptions with phone calls, etc.

CGibbs February 15, 2009 at 9:39 am

My hubby cooked dinner, did the dishes and the laundry to give me a day just to relax! How great was that!

Yesterday, Valentine’s day, my hunny and I were given a gift. Each other. He was working up on a roof and he slid. He would have fallen off 2 levels up. I’m still a little shook up over it. The only reason I was able to spend Valentines with him at home instead of the hospital or worse, was that an extra worker was assigned to him “just in case” that very morning, even though she was needed elsewhere. She was able to move the ladder over when he was able to grab the gutter that flew by his face. We’ve never had a scare like this, and I didn’t realize how much it meant to me, how much he means to me, until I started writing this. Thank you for the chance.

Well usually I’m not into Valentine’s Day presents, but this year my love bought me a house. Or at least thats what he’s telling everyone he works with he got me. Good luck topping that one next year :)

My fav gift would be a hug and kiss from my two boys

Julianna February 15, 2009 at 6:48 pm

It is a fact that I am conservative with money — so as you can imagine, I rarely indulge in a purchase of perfume or jewelry. So even though it’s the stereotypical Valentine’s Day present, it’s something that I love that I don’t buy for myself.

Diane February 15, 2009 at 7:19 pm

My hubby works 60-80 hours a week – so a night alone without the baby is great.

LESLIE February 15, 2009 at 7:46 pm

My perfect valentine’s gift is NOTHING. I prefer just spending time with my husband, at home, having a quiet dinner and just watching some tv later.

Nanette Olson February 16, 2009 at 9:03 am

I love jewelry as a gift.
