All Natural Remedies & Tips for Teething

December 12, 2009

Teething can begin as early as 3 months old.  This can be a tough time for the infant and the parent.  To reduce stress on both ends it’s best to be prepared with a few remedies and helpful tips.

  • With clean hands gently massage your baby’s gums.
  • Have a cold organic teether on hand at all times.
  • During teething baby’s tend to drool more than usual.  Keep a cloth on hand to remove drool and prevent rashes.
  • Start daily dental care as soon as the first tooth comes in.

Natural teethers can really help. You should definitely avoid the plastic teethers you might still have lying around from kid #1. Two that I use with my five-month-old, and that I sell in our online eco baby boutique, are non-toxic, made of natural and organic materials and were invented by Canadian moms with teething babes of their own!

-The Ringley Natural Teether (sanded, untreated Canadian maple and organic cotton – two textures, easy to wash and freezable)

-The Organic Teething BonBon tm (organic cotton stuffed with organic wool which is naturally antibacterial. Use wet, dry or frozen.
