Baby Shower’s are fun to attend, fun to have and even more fun to plan. If you’re a party planner and like planning then baby showers are fun to plan. What about a baby shower that is a green baby shower or one with more of a organic and natural feel to it. Meaning no Johnson and Johnson or disposable diapers but cloth organic diapers, homemade strawberry ice cream, farm fresh vegetables and a sense of togetherness. Do you want to green your baby shower or make sure you give a shower that focuses on everything as natural as it should be?
Tips for making a baby shower organic and natural:
1. Serve organic food. Yes, it might cost a little bit more but perhaps have the shower in the summertime or spring (if possible) and visit a organic farm and load up. Better yet, have the event at an organic farm!
2. Ditch the wrapping. Invite people to get creative and give the gift in homemade bags, baskets, diaper bags or a wicker laundry hamper? See how creative the party guest can get!
3. Register Green. Help your guests and register for safe products. The Soft Landing offers a gift registry as well as many online boutiques offering organic clothing and products. Make your list of safe products and find them at Amazon and create an Amazon wish list. Not sure where to begin with safe products and what is or isn’t organic or “green”? Check out our past links and posts or visit Green and Clean Mom or Healthy Green Moms for other ideas.
4. No Balloons. Instead choose bouquets of fresh seasonal flowers or plants to help clean the air. Use these as door prizes.

Good tips too – I like the using a basket/hamper for wrap tip especially.
